Default Well that didn't take long...

3 matches in, I knew it would happen but 3 matches in I get slammed with Mark of Insecurity + WoD.. doesn't take too long to adapt to the fact that excessive offensive buffs kill a solo monk.

Peace and harmony is nice but barpushing is really needed and it's few and far between to get one worth running. So it's either WoH or ZB with prots to a large extent unless you wanna try a bonder or something and then it's just situational.

So question is what can you really do about it? You know, besides run pew pew rangers for the dshots on every single thing.

yeah..90% less on stances and enchants is a bit overkill. just one of the many screw ups from this update. major buffs to skills to make them imba, reworking skills and still being useless, and giving us an elite fall back. not to mention the bugs.

on the top of my head


Get a ranger/mo with purge signet or run purge yourself with a low energy set.

get a mesmer with signet of humility / diverson /...

resto rit could also be very usefull as support as well as primary healer (there are some wicked resto rits out there)

as pirmary healer -> lolz no enchants or stance, just dropping blind ashes and WoW
as support healer -> keep WoW on the monk as much as possible and bring warmongers for your frontline.


although the skill is overpowerd LIKE MAD!!! i mean like 5 energy, 10 Sec reacharge +- 20 sec duration..

stances ok, (ye for you gay ass pathetic shit monks with 3 stances) but enchantments.. thats too much good will

anet loves the sin...bring back smiters boon...lol.

that is a little over power for the sin.The stance part is ok but the enchantments...maybe izzy havin problems killing monks.lol.

Only run 1 stance which I didn't bother with but when my guardian ends in a second...and I have a sin, ranger, necro on me. Even if you get a WoH off to barpush through the ranger it won't be enough or any at all if you have WoD on you. I'll just have to yell at my veil to recharge quicker...go go veil...

At least make it more like WoD and kill the huge duration, scale the enchant %, or something this is just... /resign.

Time to reroll a rit with Warding ^__^ Anet always loved those :3 Dual rits as support+heal probably. Hmm..the possibilities..

They finally made the new professions excel by excluding weapon spells and such from their nifty offense buffs :P

didn't refer to you with stances lol, 1 stance ok. but 3 is ridiculous.

and WoD sacrifises Health, maybe bring a necro with that skill that if target foe sacrifises health its twice as much. if he has the hex on him most of the time,he will find it very annoying. because you also sac with plague sending- a skill most necros carry nowadays- .

Ok, so you know TA is overrun by hexways, what do you do? You bring mass hex removal, and since [peace and harmony] got a insane buff, i'd suggest that.

They adjust, you also have to adjust your style of play.

Ur not gona get far taking PaH over WoH, it just won't work.

Ah, I thought you meant a solo PaH monk. I suppose in a two monk build that makes sense if you forgo smiting and run two full monks.

Nvm.. I have just read the PaH update. I think this game took some crazy direction...

It will be interesting to see if anyone makes a balanced build with one monk using PaH, rather than just sticking it in with the usual two monks and two shit stompers that's been around forever.

it won't happen. it would be fairly easy to shutdown, and simply spreading the hxes across 4 characters does the same job as cure + veil. you'd also lose vs every second/third team that doesn't run hexes.

i could imagine it working in a korea way though .. with 8 stances total, just spamming patient to keep shit alive.

Yeah, a PnH monk alone won't stand his ground vs various melee pressure builds.
I think builds like PnH monk, WoR ritu + R, W might emerge soon (backup healer will handle WoD shitspammers, PnH somewhat crushes hexways, FF won't be needed that much).
I think the update is shit overall (I wish I could ever comment on izzy's masterpieces otherwise).
